Create your account
Head to vervox.ai and click Start free trial. Enter your name, email, and a password. You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.
No credit card is required for the 14-day trial. You get full access to every feature during the trial period.
Complete your business profile
After logging in for the first time, the onboarding wizard guides you through your business details:
- Business name — how your AI introduces itself on calls.
- Industry — select your trade (plumbing, dental, electrical, etc.) so the AI uses the right vocabulary.
- Services offered — list what you do (e.g. "Leak detection", "Hot water systems"). The AI uses this to categorise leads.
- Service area — suburbs or regions you cover. The AI asks callers for their location and matches against this list.
Choose your AI voice
Pick from five natural-sounding voices — three female and two male options. Tap the play button next to each voice to hear a preview. Choose one that matches the personality of your business.
You can change your voice at any time from the Settings page.
Set your greeting and business hours
Write a short greeting the AI says when answering — for example:"Thanks for calling Smith Plumbing! How can I help?"
Configure your business hours so the AI knows when you are open. Outside these hours, the AI uses your after-hours greeting and tells callers someone will call back when you reopen.
Get your phone number
Vervox provisions a dedicated phone number for your business. You have two options:
- Use the Vervox number directly — share it on your website, cards, and ads.
- Forward your existing number — set up call forwarding from your current provider so all calls route through the AI first. This is the most popular option because your customers keep calling the same number they already know.
Both options are included in every plan at no extra cost.

Make a test call
Call your new number from your mobile. Pretend to be a customer: describe a problem, give a fake name and suburb. The AI will walk through the intake checklist, then tell you someone will call back.
After hanging up, check the Leads page in your dashboard — you should see the lead captured with all the details you provided.
Review your dashboard
Your dashboard shows real-time stats: total calls, leads captured, capture rate, and a list of recent leads that need attention. Each lead card shows the caller name, suburb, issue, urgency, and a one-tap callback button.
Go live
Once you are happy with how the AI handles calls, share your number publicly. Update your:
- Website contact page
- Google Business Profile
- Business cards and invoices
- Social media profiles
- Online directories (Yellow Pages, True Local, etc.)
Every missed call is now a captured lead. Welcome to Vervox.
